WOW after washing power instructions, this became the softest yarn I have ever had. can't wait to knit with it
My cream undyed cashmere is a wonderful cool off-white. I appreciate the very specific washing instructions included and can’t wait to find the perfect project.
I’m a beginner knitter, and I decided I wanted to treat myself to some really nice yarn for once. I’m so glad I did! The quality is beautiful, it feels amazing to work with, and I absolutely love it. I can’t wait to try their cashmere next!
Thank you! and congrats on starting the journey!
Exceeded my expectations. This is the greatest yarn I have ever had the privilege to use. I could not be happier with my purchase and I hope to buy more soon!
Thank you Mary, glad to hear you liked working with it so much!
I absolutely loved the yarn! I swatched it and gave a good bath as directed. It became sooooooo soft. Making a beautiful scarf with it. ♥️
The washing does make such a huge difference, so happy you like it! Have fun knitting it up!
This baby cashmere is the best better than even Loro Piana! Love it!
Thank you for all the support (and the sharing!)
Great pic if you’re getting into using more “exotic” fibers, works and feels like wool but has different characteristics. Very nice and plush, will be buying more.
That's about how I describe it too, glad you enjoyed working with it!
Color is gorgeous!
Glad you like it, thank you!
Such lovely yarn! Shipped quickly. I will definitely be purchasing more!
Happy to hear it got to you fast and are enjoying the yarn, thank you!
So soft and nice to knit with after washing that I have rather ordered more than use other DK yarn from my stash …
I know you'll have another on the way soon, thank you for sharing all of your projects in our Ravelry group!
I bought a skein to see if it would be suitable for a larger project. While I adore cashmere, I don’t like the way it frequently pills and was hoping to find something almost as soft that would wear better (bonus if it’s more affordable!). I pre-washed the skein according to the instructions to get rid of the spinning oils, and the yarn plumped up nicely. So far I’ve only swatched with it, but the fabric has a lovely hand and does really feel like it would wear well. The natural warm gray color is beautiful and would go with pretty much everything. I think I’ve found my cashmere replacement!
Thank you for the words! Everything will pill eventually, but I do think we have a really good blend between our softness and durability, where generally speaking those can be a bit at odds with each other. The warm gray and almond/tan base seem to be the softest/most supple, so I think we're on the same page with feel and love with our cashmere!
Incredible yarn no surprise
Thank you for the continued support!
Great saturated color. Follow instructions to properly prep the yarn to remove spinning oils. This is lovely yarn
Thank you!
Lovely yarn, consistent quality. The natural color is easy to pair with other yarns while giving the knitted garment more character than a solid dye job will do.
Thank you! And I agree about the naturals. Especially with the fleece having a bit of a marled effect from the yak/sheep blend, it goes with everything
The oxblood cashmere yarn is such a deep and rich color. Plus it is so soft and scrumptious to knit. I easily washed out the spinning oil per the wash instructions. Some of the red dye came out, but only on that initial wash and not during subsequent blocking of the finished item.
Hi Cassie, glad the washing process went smoothly, it's crazy how much of a difference it makes. Thank you for sharing a picture, it looks lovely!
Purchased for my hiking, fishing obsessed husband (and a sneaky pair for myself too). We cannot recommend these socks highly enough! I handknit socks and these socks surpass all the wonderful properties of handknit. They remain warm and comfortable all day, even in well-worn hiking boots, and they wash and wear very, very well. We will be purchasing more for sure!
Thank you for sharing your experience! The socks are always one of my favorite parts of winter!
I do love the feel of yak fiber! This has such a nice twist, it will be wonderful to work with! the mulberry purple is so deep and rich - it's destined to be a tee of some form. I haven't knit it yet, but it will be hitting the needles soon!
Hi Patricia, thank you for your lovely review! We're delighted you love the yak fiber and the beautiful color. We can't wait to see your finished project!
I made 2 swatches.one with US 4 wood needles and the other with US 2.5 metal needles. The yarn was easy on my hands to knit because it was not slippery on the needles. It is a relaxing yarn to knit with. The swatch using the larger needle filled in the space between stitches when washed, and the swatch on the smaller needles still had a nice feel and drape.
The platinum gray color is amazing and I have a pattern picked out for this yarn. I don't mind washing the spinning oil out, because the price is very reasonable for a luxury yarn. The yarn shipped when promised and there were no issues with the delivery or packaging.
I hope there will continue to be yak yarn available and would like to expand my color choices next time.
Hi Cami, thank you for sharing your wonderful experience! We're thrilled you enjoy knitting with our yak yarn and appreciate the color and quality. We look forward to offering more colors in the future. Happy knitting!
This yarn is soft and squishy. The color is the most incredible purple I've ever soon.
The mulberry is a classic in the yak for sure, thank you Linda!
